As the recognized "Fishing Village of Bantayan Island," Madridejos depends on healthy seas. Hundreds of volunteers joined the quarterly coastal clean-up, collecting an estimated three tons of waste along the boardwalk and Kota Park shoreline.

The municipality thanks all barangay volunteers and reminds everyone that proper waste segregation begins at home.
