If you or your family is going through a difficult time — medical emergency, financial hardship, disaster — the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO) can help. Assistance may include cash aid, food packs, medicine, burial assistance, or referral to other government programs. This service is free.

Who May Avail

Any Madridejos resident in need — including senior citizens, solo parents, persons with disabilities (PWD), indigent families, and families affected by disasters or emergencies.

Requirements

Barangay Certificate of Indigency or Referral Letter (get this from your Barangay Captain or Barangay Social Worker)
1 valid ID (Barangay ID, voter's ID, PhilHealth ID, or any government-issued ID)
For medical assistance: medical certificate or hospital bill
For PWD assistance: PWD ID or medical certificate of disability
For solo parent assistance: Solo Parent ID
For senior citizen assistance: Senior Citizen ID or OSCA card

Service Steps

You go to the MSWDO office (located at the Municipal Hall) and bring your Barangay Referral Letter or Certificate of Indigency.

The social worker reviews your documents and determines what type and amount of assistance you are eligible for.

You wait for approval. The MSWDO will contact you when it is ready — usually within 1-2 working days.

The MSWDO head prepares the assistance voucher and gets the Municipal Mayor's approval.
